Can I apply in person or leave a copy of my resume?

Due to the number of applicants we are unable to accept paper resumes.  In an effort to be efficient and fair to all, we require that all applicants apply online.

Where are the Emory Temporary Services’ jobs posted?

Emory Temporary Services positions are rarely posted due to the quick turnaround required. You can, however, apply for regular status positions for which you are qualified.  The ETS Recruiter will be able to view your profile. 

What is the pre-screening process for temporary positions?

Regardless of the position, all candidates for employment must pass a criminal background check.  Some positions may require additional screening i.e., a drug test and/or health assessment.

Can I contact a temporary recruiter directly?

Because of the high volume of applicants, Emory Temporary Services Recruiters are not able to speak directly to all interested applicants.

How do I know if I am being considered?

Applying for a position with Emory Temporary Services does not guarantee a response.  A representative will contact you via the email address you have provided on your candidate profile if your background/experience and/or software scores are competitive.

Am I eligible for benefits as an ETS temp?

Unfortunately, ETS temporary employees are not eligible for benefits which include, vacation, sick and holiday pay.

How long does it take to get my employee ID#?

The length of times varies.  Once your information is processed, an email will be sent to your Emory email address with your employee ID# and timekeeping instructions.

Can I use my cell phone to clock my hours?

You can never use your cell phone to record your time through the Time and Attendance System. **Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate termination.**

Who should you contact for payroll issues regarding direct deposit, taxes, cash pay, etc.?

You should contact Emory Payroll at 404-727-6100.

How do I let ETS know that I am available for an assignment or my assignment has ended?

You should email ets@emory.edu and copy your ETS Recruiter to update your availability status once a week. When you have been notified that your assignment is ending, please email ets@emory.edu and copy your ETS Recruiter within a week of the end date. Your status will be updated on our availability list and you will be contacted when another assignment is identified for you.

How long does it take to get an assignment?

It varies.  We usually receive temporary requests the day before a department needs someone.

Who should you contact in case of absences or tardiness from an assignment?

Please contact your assignment supervisor and your ETS Recruiter.

Are there any temp to perm assignments?

We do not have temporary to permanent assignments; however, we receive temporary assignments that may cover a vacant position for a department.

I recently registered with Emory Temporary Services and I would like to take the software test. Where can I take the test and is there is any cost?

To take a software test, ETS applicants should send an email to ets@emory.edu to request skills assessment testing. There is no cost.
